  • 'Ambo

‘Ambo, is an experience for those suffering from a loss of identity that has caused them to feel lonely, hopeless, and purposeless. ‘Ambo provides a holistic healing process that breathes life into the body, speaks eloquent words to the mind, and provides a phenomenological experience for the soul as its actions inspire the renewal of identity and creativity. My end user will find healing, freedom, and be grounded through the event of finding themselves again in a built environment that allows them to momentarily escape, reflect, and become.

  • Allison Vineyard

This project revolved around restoring the old, historical Comer barn, which is located in Gallatin, TN. I decided to turn this structure into a Vineyard that included a restaurant, event spaces, a wine cellar, private wine-tasting rooms, and a private balcony. The scope included schematic sketching, conceptual design planning, floor plans, furniture plans, millwork elevations, design boards, and renderings.

  • Next

The purpose of this project, held by Steelcase, was to create an office space for a clean beauty brand that sought to be inclusive, diverse, and “celebrates the greatness of individuals.” The office space was to reflect these qualities with an emphasis on the Korean background of the CEO of NEXT, the location of the office, a hybrid working environment, the introduction to advanced technology, and awareness of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The project location is 4 Columbus Circle New York, NY 10019 with a square footage of 7th and 8th Floors (approximately 15,000 ft²)

  • Come As You Are

For this project, we were to craft a place of worship for two religions of our choosing. This place was not to include any symbolism or favoritism to any one religion but would include design aspects that are open to interpretation by the end user. In essence, it was to provide a sense of comfort and belonging where one can freely connect with their spirituality and the higher power they believe in.

  • Solace Shelter

The intent of this project was for us to create a place of solace. A shelter we felt adequately and effectively described the emotion evoked from a song of our choice. This shelter would allow for deep thought and emotion to take place. The song I chose, “River” by Leon Bridges, is a release of anguish, fear, and pain, and it describes one’s journey to finding freedom and acceptance within the journey of life. Specifically, their spiritual journey of finding the Lord. Within my presentation, I had to choose four images that appropriately described these emotions.

  • Sketches

Includes both process and furniture sketches.

Updated documents are pending. The barn is expected to reach completion in the Summer of 2023.
